Are you a fit and active senior 64+? You have found your class! This one hour session will address issues unique to a maturing body without making you feel “old”. Enjoy a fun class with your peers and a teacher who is experienced with creating an appropriate class for this age group. Participants should be able to get up and down from the mat without pain.
AFRICAN STYLE DANCE
“If you can talk you can sing, if you walk you can dance” this old Zimbabwe proverb embodies the essence of African Dancing. It invigorates both the body and soul with the earthy rhythms of African drums. No prior dance experience is required just an open attitude is all you need—all worldly worries leave at the door. African style dancing comes from a place of celebration and story.

Ashtanga yoga involves synchronizing the breath with movement, creating a dynamic flow. Its progressive series of postures produces a deep internal heat and a purifying sweat that detoxifies muscles and organs.
The basics and foundations of yoga for those brand new to yoga, and those wishing to refresh “Beginner’s Mind.” A perfect place to start if you don’t know a thing. When you step into your first Level 1 class, you’ll feel absolutely at ease!

FELDENKRAIS: AWARENESS THROUGH MOVEMENT
Feldenkrais retrains the nervous system through gentle, non-competitive movement exploration. Learn to recognize your habits and move in new more efficient ways, reducing limitations. Learn to increase coordination, flexibility, range of motion, balance, breathing and mental function. Feldenkrais helps expand your capacity in yoga or recover from injury, stroke or surgery.

FLUID RAJA YOGA
Fluid Raja Yoga is an uninterrupted practice set to music that combines mindful transitions between postures and coordination of breath with movement, which elicits a quieting of the mind and a relaxation response in the nervous system. Participants gauge their responses and make adjustments through verbal cues and awareness of body, breath and thought patterns.
Forrest Yoga helps you connect to your core - getting strong and centered. It uses heat, deep breathing and vigorous sequences to sweat out toxins. The long holds in the pose progressions help you flush, oxygenate and rejuvenate every cell. Room heated to 85 degrees.
GENTLE YOGA AND YOGA NIDRA
Enjoy a slow-paced class that will leave you feeling relaxed and refreshed. Gentle Yoga classes are appropriate for those who are dealing with illness, injury, an aging body or just a low energy day. Appropriate for beginners as well.
HATHA / HATHA FLOW / MORNING HATHA FLOW / SOFT FLOW
Hatha yoga is the most commonly practiced branch of yoga in America, and it is a highly developed system of nearly 200 physical postures, movements and breathing techniques designed to tune the body to its optimal health. A “flow” class simply means that postures are strung together without much interruption or breaks between postures.

MEDITATION AND SACRED ENERGY FOR JOY
This class covers a number of meditation practices, including chakra meditations, breath awareness, heart meditation, inner emotional awareness, mantra meditations, and mindfulness meditations. Because meditation is a personal practice, each class will focus on teaching one technique, but attendees are welcome to practice any form he or she chooses during the silent meditation periods. Meditation will be followed by sacred energy work designed to increase spiritual energy and joy.

Mystic Flow Yoga is open to all levels. Postures are linked together and flow with emphasis on strength & meditative breathing. Through the breath, music & colorful language you will awaken core energy, your true source. Leave feeling clear headed and having a sense of deep relaxation.
PILATES FOR YOGIS
An ideal class for yogis who want to ease into Pilates. Strengthening torso muscles in the front, sides and back, as well as deep in the pelvis and hips, Pilates requires proper breathing, concentration, precision and control, and will improve and enhance posture and alignment. In this all-level class, modifications and easier versions of exercises are always available.
POISE WITHIN THE POSE, ALL LEVELS - ALEXANDER TECHNIQUE
Based on the principles of the Alexander Technique, this subtle yet energetically powerful class will teach you how to move in and out of yoga poses. The methods presented will also simply and effectively improve your posture, drastically changing your approach to everything from downward facing dog to carrying your groceries. Finding Poise within the Pose will radically alter your perspective on movement and alignment in yoga and beyond.
Prenatal yoga class incorporates relaxation exercises, breath-work, birth positions, remedies for common discomforts, key pregnancy exercises like squats and kegels, positions to encourage optimal fetal positioning, and much more for mothers and their babies.
RAJA YOGA MEDITATION (FREE), ALL LEVELS
Start your weekend with a short set of exercises that will prepare the body for a traditional seated meditation. Free to all, beginners welcome.
Restorative yoga is a passive practice characterized by deep, long-held postures. The class incorporates practices that promote stress reduction, deep relaxation, immune system support, and improved sleep patterns.
Begin your day with a warm flowing practice of sun salutations, strength work, standing postures, inversions, floor work and relaxation. Finish with an extended savasana and the option of a few minutes of meditation before you head out into the world refreshed and ready.
Yin yoga is a passive practice that targets fascia (connective tissue). It is characterized by deep stretches held for at least two minutes. The basics and foundations of yoga for those brand new to yoga, and those wishing to refresh “Beginner’s Mind.” A perfect place to start if you don’t know a thing. When you step into your first Level 1 class, you’ll feel absolutely at ease!
Prepare for a powerful class that is mindful of alignment — we build strength, balance, and stamina but we do so thoughtfully, so we may practice again tomorrow (and many years from now). There may be the use of props, adjustments, sanskrit and chanting… Expect to warm the body up and then we’ll take on postures including standing poses, twists, backbends, inversions and arm balances. Yoga is ultimately the stilling of the fluctuations of the mind, so we’ll work through the koshas, the layers of the body, to find quietude of the mind. This class is appropriate for those with an ongoing yoga practice.
